Natixis Appoints Luc Bernard as CEO of Natixis Services in India to Lead Next Phase of Growth
Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking has appointed Luc Bernard as Chief Executive Officer of Natixis Services in India. Bringing nearly two decades of expertise in technology, innovation, and global capability centers, Bernard will lead the Bangalore hub's next phase of growth, strengthen global integration, and support strategic expansion across Groupe BPCE and Natixis operations.
Luc Bernard brings nearly two decades of experience spanning Global Capability Center management, offshoring strategies, entrepreneurship, delivery management, software engineering, financial markets, enterprise architecture, data, digital transformation, and innovation. His extensive expertise is expected to support the continued expansion of Natixis Services in India while strengthening its integration with Natixis' global operations.
Bernard played a pivotal role in establishing Natixis Services in India, the technology and innovation hub of Natixis CIB in Bangalore. He previously served as Executive Director and Head of CIB Operations and Information Technology and was a member of the Board of Directors of Natixis Services in India from 2021 to 2025. Following this tenure, he joined Natixis Investment Managers in Paris as Head of Information Technology Production before assuming his new leadership role.
Before joining the Information Technology team at Natixis CIB in 2014, Bernard worked as a Software Developer at Société Générale and Partners Advisers SA. He holds a Master's degree in Electronic Engineering from Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Brest and an Executive Master of Business Administration from HEC Paris.
As Chief Executive Officer, Bernard will lead the next phase of growth for Natixis Services in India by supporting business expansion and enhancing the organization's integration with Natixis' global processes.
Commenting on the appointment, Cecile de Sousa said it was a pleasure to welcome Bernard back to Bangalore as the India center of expertise celebrates its fifth anniversary. She stated that Bernard had been instrumental in establishing the operation while leading technology-driven transformation and process optimization. According to her, his deep understanding of the organization's internal processes and his proven leadership experience in India make him ideally suited to lead Natixis Services in India.
Etienne Huret described Bernard's appointment as a significant milestone in Natixis' commitment to further developing Bangalore as a strategic hub for Groupe BPCE and Natixis businesses. He said he looked forward to working closely with Bernard to strengthen collaboration between the Portugal and India hubs while advancing strategic initiatives across the Group.
